Most early-stage leaders hit an inflection point where the things that got them here — founder instinct, heroic effort, sheer willpower — stop working.

Most leaders don't make it across — not because they lack talent or ambition, but because they don't have a model for the crossing.

Are we building the right team, in the right way?

Most early-stage teams hire fast and figure out the rest later. By the time the cracks show, the cost of fixing them is high. I help you define what success looks like on your team, hire mission athletes, develop the people you already have, and have the hard conversations when you need to. The goal isn't a bigger team. It's a higher-performing one.

Is our culture actually scaling, or just stretching?

Culture isn't your values poster — it's who you hire, who you promote, who you tolerate, and who you coach out. Every one of those decisions sends a louder signal than any all-hands speech. I work with leadership teams to close the gap between the values they've codified and the values they're actually living, before that gap turns into culture debt you can't pay down.

Can we move fast without flying apart?

Speed and structure are usually framed as opposites. They're not. Aligned autonomy — distributed ownership pointed at the same mission — is how high-performing teams move fast without losing focus. I help leaders build the cascade that makes it work: vision flowing to mission, mission to strategy, strategy to goals, goals to metrics, all the way down to individual pods.

Underneath all three is the Impact Operating System — the model I built from 30 years in tech, including a decade building Roblox from scrappy to scale.
